Fine let me just write

It was only last year that I began writing a diary. I remember how 2012 was such an action packed year for me. A lot of highs; a few lows. It was then that I decided I should maintain a diary. A friend seconded my decision saying it would give me such a better understanding of myself. So here I was, with a seemingly simple task for many, but a mammoth expedition for myself: write my deepest feelings into a diary. For those who are closest to me would know it’s not natural of me at all. Nevertheless, I picked up a book and a funny wood pen (both received as gifts) and turned to page 1. Dear Diary, …… Believe me it’s a little scary. To write down what’s in your mind exactly how it is and see it in flesh. Also to recreate every little thing you have done in the day - giving so much power to a book? No, it’s not happening. But I did it. For quite some time. I wasn’t regular. But it felt nice eventually. Sometimes it’s fun to go back and read old entries. Well, don’t look for ...

Emotional Wreck

A May fun-fair. Dancing ballons. Jolly buffoons. Lurking goons. Candy floss. Cartoon frames. Prize money games. Funny names. Stands and stalls. Diving falls. Amidst this all. I hear your call. A puppet play. Laugh and pray. In every way. Happy we stay. The joker's smile. An eerie demise. Cold-eyed stares. Darkness inside. A turn we find. Haunted aisles. Phantom theories. Heartbreaking cries. A weird discord. Arranged by the Lord. Peace or sin? An unruly din. Psychic speaks. Crystal balls. A blurry future. No one to call. Fair we go again. Rides re-aapear. Sweetness in the air. Are you near? A roller coaster ride. Unstable inside. Up it goes and goes down the trek. This is what I am - An emotional wreck. -Ayesha

Chemistry

Time flew like circles around a planet.                                            The clouds drifted like the universe departs. The rain came down like comets blazing. The fish and the fly are two galaxies apart. A light reaches the Saturn terrain, millions of years after it left. Sky rises and streets of gold; Footsteps. A cry. A petty theft. High above,an eagle spreads its wings. Deep down,a whale dives in the sea. The call of a hyena in the wild. Somewhere, the law wont let the victim be.  A poor man reaches the door of his home. Superman flies high in his cape. Bugs crawl on leaves and the floor. The amoeba changes many a shape. Amidst this sanity in choas and commotion. There is a me and there is a you. And, when the fire rises in the chamber. We take a form all brand new. Go back high up.Straight to the top...

The Blinded Man

A blinded man, in ‘No man’s land’, Set foot, with all his might. Left behind his caravan, Home was far away in sight! With the contour he possessed, He was so different from the rest. And in the park, the games children played, Were so peculiar –much to his dismay. Thirsty soon, he wandered apart And reached a cave, atop a hill, Banged his head, with all his heart, Water wouldn’t erupt at his will. The moon changed its shape every day. The sun shone-bright and round. ‘Full’- like a coin, back to darkness again. The sun, still, shone-bright and round! Yet, his thirst wasn’t quenched And many a travellers did pass by. Few were rogues-who stole his wealth! Few were angels-who hovered high! He frowned more and his heart sank, For he had entered this ‘No man’s land’ And,the place where he banged his head, Yielded no water for him yet! Then one day, it was dawn anew, A mystifying light did shine Slowly, the blinded man could s...

The Mighty Giants

A dusty country, sand built houses.  An eruption of flames, the fire douses. A hot dry afternoon, the ants are walking. And somewhere above the giants are talking. Long slender legs, heads reaching the skies. They spoke of curious tales and wisdom that came by. Schemes were made for progress of the small. Oh, yes! They were the giants of the city after all! These colossal figures built cities with their might, conquered hill tops; overcame their fright. And when they decided that they wanted more, they drank from the oceans and slept on the shore. Disdainful they weren’t,they ploughed the barren fields. Bare-handed, they sowed the seeds; Bled, toiled and harvested the yield. And as they labored, they grew tall. Oh, yes! They were the giants of the city after all! Zoomed above, reaching for the clouds. Their shadows were trusted beyond any doubts. Every dream turned into a reality. Every action was meant to be pure. The evil was ...

Life and Cheese

This is life... This is Cheese...   I am mad about cheese. It doesn't matter who moved it.

Sachin retires. I'm lucky enough to witness it.

Sachin Tendulkar recently retired from International cricket. Being a huge fan, plus never having watched a Test match live in a stadium, I was very keen on getting a ticket of his final match at Wankhede. Me, along-with a few other like-minded souls got down to ticket hunting like scavengers, keeping our eyes open at every word being spoken about ticket availability for the match. Kyazoonga had to obviously crash. I was one of the participants of the craze :P However, finally, a friend arranged for tickets (bless him) and lo! behold ! dream comes true !! I had to wake up very early and travel all the way to CST for the D-day.Share cabs were arranged at the station and I had people coming all the way from Madhya Pradesh, only to watch Sachin play, as company. "Phew! This is big ", I thought to myself. Needless to say the atmosphere and fervour in the stadium was crazyy and maddening! Also, Sachin stood right in front of our stand and fielded there all day. Paisa vasool...
